2. dan prakse Erasmus + na Danskem: Nabiranje in priprava ostrig

We woke up, ate breakfast and took a bus to today's adventure, which was picking and eating oysters. When we arrived we first met our guide, Stephan who was really nice and an interesting person. He told us all about the oysters and how he's been picking them for 10 years. We were all amazed by the pearls, which are very rear to find, as the probability of finding them is 1 in 1000. He also gave us some equipment (gloves, a knife, a stick and a bucket) and after putting on our boots we started to descent to the oysters. The path progressed from easy terrain, which was low sea level, some mud and rocks to more deeper waters and sinking mud. Walking was easier with the stick and Stephan encouraged us throughout the journey. When we came to the first pile of oysters, Stephan showed us how to open the oysters and how to eat them properly. We then tried some of them raw, which wasn't pleasant for many students, but some enjoyed them. Then we started to collect them in our buckets. Some of us were also determined to find a pearl but we weren't lucky. Stephan, told us that in the spend of his 10 years of working, he only found 8 of them. When our buckets were full, we set foot back to the beach where we would also try the oysters smoked and grilled. When we arrived to the place where we set our grill and the smoker, Stephan instructed us to open the oysters and to also start the fire. We also helped our culinary teacher Jesper, with preping the sauces for the oysters. Then we smoked the oysters and grilled them, which we found more amusing then the raw ones. Stpehan also suprised us with some sausages which were very mind blowing. After the meal we helped cleaning up, said our thanks to Stephan for the amazing experience and drove back to our camp.
